My kids and I love this book. They think it is fun to see Bruce get his just desserts, literally. But then he finds that he likes the witch. It is great for all types of readers. Bill Peet's pictures in all of his books are very engaging and great for small readers. The story is longer than most modern day picture books so it holds older readers. The story is fun and Bruce is especially fun.

This story also teaches a moral as do many of Bill Peet's works. A lot of his books have an enviromental theme. This is a must have for anyones library. Great book.
